What’s a Blog Party?

The 31 Days of Faves Blog Party is a way for business owners to showcase their blogs, products, or services and get lots of valuable traffic, comments, and exposure. Each day all of our participants will post comments on your Blog, Facebook, or YouTube channel .

Why A Blog Party?

In the “Blogosphere” of Mommy Blogging, a Blog Party is very common – but not so much in the Small Business Marketing world.  Well that’s all about to change with a little help from you!

1. Relationships – A Blog Party is a great way for you to build strategic partnerships, improve your search engine optimization,  and build your brand  – all from the comfort of your own computer.   The main focus of any Blog Party is simple – to form relationships. If your online business is transactional based and you just want to sell a ‘one-time’  product to a customer, or all you want is adsense clicks on your site, then ‘Content Is King.” But…If you want to build a “internet marketing” business with a loyal subscriber and customer list, then content is not king – ‘Relationship Is King!’
2. Search engine optimization – The search engines love dynamic sites that are frequently updated. A blog party will generate comments on your blog, your site is constantly being updated by others.
3. Backlinks – Blog commenting has proven to be one of the most effective link building strategies as it helps you get quick links to your website. By leaving comment on other blogs you are strategically improving your search engine optimization.

How To Participate in the Blog Party:

• Read and comment on THIS post to be entered in the drawing for PRIZES. Prizes will be awarded AFTER the Blog Party closes.
• Tell you readers and fans about 31 Days of Faves  Blog Party on your site and invite your them to participate too!  Include a Blog Button from the sidebar on the right. Put the blog party button on your blog or facebook page and tweet, blog, vlog, or Facebook about it  NOW! 
• Add your blog url, your facebook link, your YouTube link and/or your Twitter link  to the appropriate Mr. Linky below.  (will be live on January 1, 2012) Make sure you link to an internal page on your site, one with your products, services, or a blog posting you’re really proud of! Use the hashag #31DaysOfFaves.
• Visit tons of blogs, facebook pages, YouTubes and follow new twitter friends from the Mr. Linkies.  Say hello, introduce yourself, and tell your fellow business owners that you are visiting from the 31 Days of Faves Blog Party.Start building friendships right away!

RULES:

1. NO SPAMMY COMMENTS.   A blog party is a way to create relationships, generate traffic, and build back links. A favorable bi-product is that you might sell something. That being said, allow people to view your site and make a decision to buy. Your comments on other sites should not be about YOU. Leave valuable and relevant feedback, tips, information with your fellow business owners and they’ll do the same for you. Don’t just say “stopping by for blog party”, instead show that you had the courtesy to read a business owner’s content.
2. Please keep EVERYTHING Rated “G” This blog party will be going out among the masses, and we want to make sure that we do not offend ANYONE in ANY WAY.  So please make sure that your post/product/video/demo is appropriate – even for children to watch.
3. The linky requires your name and email address. If you don’t leave that info, I’ll assume you don’t want to be on the distribution list which means you won’t be a featured blog and you’ll be deleted.
4. Please commit to the entire month.  Commit a few minutes a day to read and respond to comments left on your blog, twitter, facebook, or youtube sites. And then spend a few extra minutes going to other sites listed below and leave comments for them. You DON’T have to comment on everyone’s site. Use this strategy: Choose a minimum of 3 sites per day to leave comments (more is better, but we understand you’re busy). Everyday pick three different sites. By the end of the month you will have left a LOT of comments and built a lot of links back to your site too!
